A few more for your perusal…

August 11, 2008

Well, I’m finally almost complete healed from jet lag and thought I’d post a few more pics for your perusal.  I must say, upon reflection of my trip – it was definately in my top faves.  I’d definately go to convention again!  The only thing that stunk for me was the sheer amount of line jumpers.  So many not having consideration for those who got there early, or got in line early, etc.  But hey, it’s nothing different than Disney World, right?  Bottom line – it was FABULOUS and I didn’t let a few rude people ruin my time there.

Some more display samples are seen here, above.

Last but not least, some pictures from closing session:

And then the HOT UPS guy came out, and the crowd went BALLISTIC when he said, “I have a package here. It says it’s addressed to…….EVERYONE!”  We ALLLLLL got a FREE stamp set – the one which it’s proceeds goes to the Ronald McDonald house – which was great because we all wanted that one!

Decor Elements and Big Shot Samples

August 6, 2008

At convention they had a display where they demonstrated how to use Decor Elements and the Big Shot for your room decor.  Some very cool ideas indeed!  For those of you that don’t know, Decor Elements are vinyl wall rub-ons that you can rub on anything that will sit still!

<–This wall stencil was made from one of the SU! exclusive dies!

More shots of the boards

August 6, 2008

Well, I have been in such a day and time fog with flying to Vegas and going non stop, that I haven’t had much of a chance to post.  Here are some shots of the boards, main stage projects, and others.  I am definately re-inspired to stamp!

Day 4 – I got to meet Shelli Gardner! (May she live forever)

August 3, 2008

Well, it may have taken 3 times – but certainly, the third time is the charm.  On Wednesday, I got to meet Shelli Gardner, Co-Founder and CEO of Stampin’ Up.  She is so kind, genuine, and took time to chat with each person she met.  She even signed my catalog – it really was a highlight for me!  I am in Las Vegas now, but I will have time later to post samples and other pics from Day 4.

Day 3 – Make and Takes

August 2, 2008

As part of convention, we get to make 8 make and takes. (Projects)  Today we made 4 – a card, a mini envelope album, a bookmark, and a bag.  Pics of them to come…..but here’s what 600+ stampers stamping at the same time looks like:

Day 3 – Opening Entertainment – SU! All Star Band

August 2, 2008

You would not believe the opening entertainment – the SU All Star Band!  All members are SU! employees – and they were HOT!  Guest vocalists – Jaron Winder, Spencer Willis, and Linda Hansen.  They’ve practiced for only TWO weeks, and I was thoroughly impressed!

Day 3 – SU! announces partnership with Sizzix!

August 2, 2008

Starting this fall, SU! will be partnering with Sizzix and offering an exclusive SU! Big Shot, and exclusive SU! dies.  This is VERY exciting news!!!

The pizza invitations use a pennant banner die, and the lace up ladybug uses FELT!!

Look Who I Met!

August 1, 2008

I had the goal of meeting Shelli Gardner and Jaron Winder.  As I walked into Main Stage, THERE WAS JARON.  Did I mention that he sings like an angel????  Then when I was going back in for a class, there was the illustrious Kristina Werner.  SHE ROCKS!  I was 40th in line for Shelli and a group of 20+ budged, making the line longer – there was no hope.  So I’ll be stalking her today at lunch – FOR SURE!

Tonight’s Entertainment – Tonic Sol Fa!!!

August 1, 2008

Tonight’s entertainment after awards was the a cappella group, “Tonic Sol Fa”.  They were simply AMAZING.  I took video – but again, I need a few moments to edit it and compress it.  In the mean time, here’s some pics of them……

I’m in a cappella love!!! 😉  Of course, I bought 2 of their CD’s!

Mormon Tabernacle Choir

August 1, 2008

I snuck out of Awards Night tonight to go and see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing during their rehearsal.  Much to my surprise, the orchestra was rehearsing with them as well.  They rehearse in the LDS Conference Center -which seats 21,000 people.  To say it was awesome was an understatement.  I will post videos when I have a chance to edit them.
